Ira Lee, Jr., aged 88, of Delhi Township, passed away November 2, 2015 at home with his loved ones under the care of Hospice of Cincinnati. He was born September 23, 1927 in Liberty, Kentucky to parents Ira Lee and Florence Pittman. Ira was preceded in death by his parents and 3 siblings (Louise, Patsy and Elijah). He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Jane T. Pittman (nee Tucker). He is also survived by his 3 daughters, Penny (Todd) Cobey, Linda Pittman, and Anne (Gary) Rohs, 3 beloved grandchildren, Andrew Rohs, Tucker Cobey and Rose Cobey, as well as a niece and 5 nephews. Ira served in the United States Army Air Force from 1945 – 1953 and was a pilot in post World War II Occupied Germany. He was a 1st Lieutenant in the 86th Fighter Bomber Group, flying the P51-Mustang. Ira enlisted at Wright Patterson AFB, and was honorably discharged at Scott Field, St. Louis, MO. A graduate of the University of Kentucky (BA in Education) and the University of Cincinnati, Ira taught in the Oak Hills School District (1955 – 1960) and in the Northwest School District (1961 – 1980). Visitation will be held on Sat. Nov. 7th from 10am until the time of the funeral service at 11am held at the Radel Funeral Home, 650 Neeb Rd. 451-8800 www.radelfuneral.com

We miss you already Grandad. You taught eric do much for the short time that we knew you. He says he can't wait to see you again, so you can teach him to fly. I'll miss finding it, in the comics, to see who can find it first. Miss all of your very odd but sometimes useful inventions and all of your shenanigans. Im glad you got to see that i now have 4 hubcaps. Miss you fixing things, and ill miss your stories. Love you grandad. Kate and Eric (Rooster)
