Mary L. Gross

Mary L. Gross

Mary Louise Gross:

Cherished sister to Robert Perry and Nancy Douglas. Beloved mother to Judy Unterreiner, James Thomas Gross, and the late Bob Gross. Grandmother to Roger, Shannon, Kim, Amanda,Steve, Rick, Mary, John H, Elizabeth, John U. Devoted great grandmother to Abigail, Samantha, Alexandra, Alyssa, Freida, Starlynn, Whitney, Haley, Destiny. Great great grandmother to Bentley, Harmony, Cohen, Jensen, Westen. Mary passed peacefully away at home surrounded by all of her friends and family members on August 14, 2017 at the age of 82.

Mary was called Grandma by nearly everyone who met her. She was the physical embodiment of what it means to be a grandma. When she would meet a new friend or when she just introduced herself she would always follow it up with "but everyone just calls me Grandma".

In Memory of my Mom/Grandmother/Dad and devoted friend:

My Grandma was an amazing lady. She raised me until I was 3 1/2 and was like a mom to me. Grandma always put family first and she took great pride in getting us all together on Sundays for a family dinner. As a child growing up we always spent the weekends surrounded by friends and family and she was the nucleus that kept it all together. Thanksgiving was always at Grandma's house and she just cooking for everyone. She always insisted that you eat more because she never wanted us to go without. I believe she inspired my wife Shannon to take up cooking and I can't help but feel like a little bit of Grandma will live through her cooking.

Love,
Roger

Visitation will be Friday August 18th from 5-7pm. Funeral Services start at 7:00 P.M. at the Radel Funeral Home, 650 Neeb Road, 451-8800.

I already miss you so much. My heart has not felt the same since you left. Abby cries for you often. Our home will never be the same. But in our memories, you will live forever. Watch over us Grandma. We love you very much.
