Vernon E. passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at the age of 89. Vernon was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Margaret (Tangman) Halverstadt, and siblings Marcella, Harold, Alvin, Carl and Elmer Halverstadt. He is survived by his wife Edythe (Perry), sons Eric (Pattie), Paul (Ann), daughter Teresa (Kelly) Hamad, and grandchildren, Lisa, Jim (Jaclyn), Hilary, Hannah, Ross, Michelle, Maggie and Charlie. Vern served as a sergeant in the Army during the Korean War as a heavy equipment mechanic. He was a tool and die maker who retired from the Randall Company, where he worked for 48 years. Visitation at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 14th followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Victory Church, 808 Neeb Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45233. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Joseph’s Orphanage 5400 Edalbert Dr., Cincinnati, OH 45239 or to Compassus Hospice, 11311 Cornell Park Dr., Blue Ash, OH 45242.
