Doris A. Huff

Doris A. Huff

Doris A Huff (Nee: Romer) grew up in New Richmond OH and moved to Cincinnati OH off of River Road. She worked for the Tresler Oil company for many years as Assistant to the CEO.

She met the love of her life at a bus stop on River Road. Both were on their way to work. It was love at first site. She married the love of her life Don Huff on 10/30/1948 they were married for 72 years. She was a resident of Delhi where she and the love of her life raised 6 children. Loving mother to Pattie Purnell, Susan (Bob) Herzog, Michael (JoAnn) Huff, Donna (Rick) Schmithorst, Diane (Dan) Dearing and her special needs Angel David Huff, who was waiting for her in Heaven. Cherished grandmother of 11 and great-Grandmother of 16. She and Don moved to Florida in 1979, She was an active volunteer with the Sunrise ARC (Association of Retarded Citizens) in Florida along with many others. She was always there to lend a helping hand whenever and where ever needed.

In 2009 they moved back to Ohio to be closer to Family. Although they hated leaving their life in Florida being closer to Family was more important.

In 2017 they move to the Western Hills Retirement Village, Doris was known there as always happy and having a big smile on her face. She enjoyed and was involved in many of the activities there. She always enjoyed meeting new friends.

Doris was surrounded by her family in her final days. She peacefully passed away and went to Heaven on Sept 13, 2020 at the age of 91. Words cannot describe how much she will be missed, however, we do take comfort in knowing she is in Heaven rejoicing with her son David.

WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH AND WILL MISS YOU UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN.

A celebration of Life will be held from 12PM until the time of the funeral service at 2PM on Mon. Sept 21 at Radel Funeral Home 650 Neeb Rd. 45233 513-451-8800. IN Lieu of Flowers, Memorials may be made to the Alzhelmer’s Association, 644 Linn St. #1026, Cincinnati OH 45203. www.radelfuneral.com
